Alumni Prep

Alumni Prep supports Buffalo Prep graduates through post-secondary education and career placement, providing services including career exploration and development, internships, leadership and enrichment workshops, scholarship assistance, networking and mentoring.  Prep alumni also have the opportunity to stay connected with each other and active in the Prep community, including serving on the Buffalo Prep Board of Directors, as mentors in the Buffalo Prep Mentor Me Program, and providing guidance and opportunities to the next generation of alumni.

Scholarship opportunities

College Prep Student Scholarship Fund

Through the College Prep Student Scholarship Fund, High School Prep and College Prep graduates who are currently undergraduate college students may apply for tuition support (payments will be made directly to the school).  Contact David Johnson, Director of College Counseling, at for more information.

Nicholas Patterson Perpetual Fund

The Patterson Fund scholarships provides tuition assistance that may include helping to reduce educational costs such as purchase of books, computers, supplies etc.

Discover Law Undergraduate Scholars Program at the University at Buffalo School of Law

Discover Law provides up to 20 promising and diverse students the opportunity to live on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus for an intensive four-week summer residency. Students take rigorous courses taught by law professors, attend field trips to see the law in action, learn about the admissions process, and shadow a judge or attorney for a day.

City Year Buffalo

City Year Buffalo is looking for committed and passionate 17-25 year olds to join its founding corps for 2019-2020. This year long, full-time opportunity is great for young people who are looking for opportunities to make a difference, develop as a leader and professional or searching for an entry point into education.
